Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 September 2026

In the event of any inconsistency between this English version and the French translation, the English version governs.

This Privacy Policy explains how Waterloo Analytics collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit waterlooanalytics.com or contact us through this website. Waterloo Analytics is based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to provide, plus a limited amount of technical information needed to operate the site:

  • Information you submit through our contact form: your name, organization (optional), email address, phone number (optional), the subject you select, and your message.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on this site.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, to communicate with you about the matter you raised, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We use server logs to maintain the security and reliability of the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

By submitting the contact form, you consent to our collecting and using your information for the purposes described above, consistent with PIPEDA. We will not send you marketing or commercial electronic messages without your consent, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

4. Service providers and sub-processors

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the site and handle enquiries:

  • EmailJS, which transmits contact-form submissions to our inbox.
  • SiteGround, which hosts the website and maintains server logs.
  • Our email provider, which receives and stores the messages sent to info@waterlooanalytics.com.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their service.

5. Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and to maintain a reasonable business record, after which we delete it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your rights).

6. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to our use of it. To make a request, email us at info@waterlooanalytics.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies, runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts, and does nothing to track you across websites or over time. It does store two small values in your browser so that it can remember your choice of language:

  • wa:locale, which records the language you chose with the language switcher, so that your next visit opens in that language.
  • wa:language-hint-dismissed, which records that you closed the one-time notice offering the French version, so that it is not shown to you again.

Both values are held in your own browser, in browser storage rather than in cookies. They contain no personal information, they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not used to identify you. You can remove them at any time by clearing this website’s site data in your browser settings, and the site will work normally without them.

If we ever add cookies, analytics, or similar technology, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.

8. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information remains subject to this policy and to those providers’ own safeguards.

9. Children’s privacy

This website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be reflected here.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at info@waterlooanalytics.com or by mail at 210-137 Glasgow Street, Kitchener, ON, N2G 4X8.
